א

For the leader. A song. A psalm.Raise a shout for God, all the earth;

ב

sing the glory of God’s name, make glorious God’s praise.

ג

Say to God,“How awesome are Your deeds,Your enemies cower before Your great strength;

ד

all the earth bows to You,and sings hymns to You;all sing hymns to Your name.” Selah.

ה

Come and see the works of God,who is held in awe by mortals for acts divine,

ו

and who turned the sea into dry land:Israel crossed the river on foot;we therefore rejoice in [God].

ז

[God] rules forever with divine might, eyes scanning the nations—not letting the rebellious assert themselves. Selah.

ח

O peoples, bless our God;celebrate with praises

ט

the One who has granted us life, and has not let our feet slip.

י

You have tried us, O God,refining us, as one refines silver.

יא

You have caught us in a net, caught us in trammels.

יב

You have let people ride over us;we have endured fire and water, and You have brought us through to prosperity.

יג

I enter Your house with burnt offerings,I pay my vows to You,

יד

[vows] that my lips pronounced, that my mouth uttered in my distress.

טו

I offer up fatlings to You,with the odor of burning rams;I sacrifice bulls and he-goats. Selah.

טז

Come and hear, all you who fear God,as I tell what was done for me.

יז

I called aloud to [God],glorification on my tongue.

יח

Had I an evil thought in my mind,my Sovereign would not have listened.

יט

But God did listen—paying heed to my prayer.

כ

Blessed is God who has not turned away my prayer,or faithful care, from me.
