הסולם על ספר הזהרSulam on Zohar
"הסולם" הוא פירוש לספר הזהר שנכתב בירושלים בין השנים 1943-1953 על ידי הרב יהודה לייב הלוי אשלג, שכונה על שם חיבור זה - "בעל הסולם". מטרת כתיבת הספר הייתה לאפשר גם לאנשים ללא רקע בתורת הקבלה להבין את ספר הזוהר הכתוב בארמית ומכיל מושגים מופשטים מתורת הסוד היהודית. הפירוש מחולק לחלק מרכזי בו ספר הזהר מתורגם לעברית עם ביאור קצר, ולחלק נוסף - "מראות הסולם" המכיל עיונים למבחר נושאים בספר הזהר. כנספח לספר, כתב הרב אשלג מספר הקדמות לספר הזהר ולתורת הסוד היהודית בכלל.The Sulam is a 20th-century Hebrew translation and commentary on the Zohar by Rabbi Yehuda Ashlag, based on the teachings of the Arizal (Rabbi Isaac Luria). Writing with the goal of making the Zohar and Kabbalah more accessible to the public, Ashlag compared the Zohar's wisdom to treasures sitting in an attic and hoped that his "sulam" ("ladder") would provide access to those treasures. The work includes several introductions to prepare readers for kabbalistic study.
