דברי הימים ב, המחצית השנייה של הספר האחרון בתנ"ך, חוזר על ההיסטוריה המקראית מימי מלכות שלמה ועד חורבן בית המקדש הראשון והצהרת כורש. אומנם חלקים מהספר תואמים לפרטים שנזכרו בתורה ובנביאים אחרונים, אולם יש בו גם תוספות רבות, חוסרים והסברים חלופיים. לדוגמה, הספר מתמקד בקורות מלכי יהודה ומזכיר רק לעיתים רחוקות את קורות ממלכת ישראל.II Chronicles (“Divrei Hayamim Bet”) is the second half of the last book of the Hebrew Bible. It retells biblical history, beginning with the reign of King Solomon until the destruction of the First Temple and the edict of Cyrus the Great. While parts of II Chronicles align with details that appear in the later Prophets, much of it contains additions, gaps, or alternative explanations; for example, the book focuses almost exclusively on kings from Judah, with only occasional mentions of the kingdom of Israel.
